The episode wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I was expecting more plot to do with the nazis and less "Oh noes the doctor is dying (again)". But then, the new series hasn't exactly been big on history episodes.

I liked seeing Caitlin Blackwood again, though.

Maybe, maybe not. And River isn't exactly a Time Lord. She was described as a "Child of the TARDIS."

I've honestly watched nothing of the new season. I'm saving it for off-Who season.

Dunno about anyone else, but so far this second half of the season has been pretty meh for me.
Now I know that the Ponds are signed up "to appear" in season 7, but that doesn't mean they'll be regulars does it?
How many times did Rose make appearances?

Anyway.... 2 more episodes left, which I'm sure will be the highlight of the season.

Too much gay jokes in the previous one. My little brother, 10, was like the whole time, because he was confused whether the Doctor and Craig were "actually partners."

And it seemed to have NOTHING to do with the finale. ???!!!
Whatever happened to two-parters? Instead of cramming EVERYTHING in one episode?

Also, Bacon, there is nothing wrong with humour like that. There's no need for it to be censored, and besides, homosexuality is a fact of life no matter how you swing it. Nothing wrong with making light of something.

That was clearly a filler episode though, but if the writers think it works then I guess it probably can. As something said, this is the first time the new series have used a single finale episode. Maybe it will work.

I had thought this episode was one of the leftovers from last season. Could be wrong, though.
At any rate, I agree. Baconboy, you can't take it so seriously. It's Doctor Who! Besides, all good Christian brothers love one another, right?

And no matter what your personal/religious beliefs, as AHadley pointed out, it's a fact of life. Tasteful light-hearted jokes are fun. I think the Doctor's orientation has been questioned many times before.

That aside, I thought overall the episode was indeed a bit of a filler, and leading up to what I assume will be the first episode of this season, although that leaves some continuity issues (remember how the Doctor stated he was 200 years older in episode one?) Maybe that will be explained away next episode or maybe it already was and I missed it.

It looks as though they are restructuring the airing dates again for season 7.

Season 7 of Doctor Who will not premiere during the established easter time slot in 2012. Instead it has been decided to not air Season 7 until Autumn 2012. From there the season will air the first 7 episodes, a two month hiatus between October and December will occur and take us to that years christmas special (which will be used as a mid-season bridge). The remaining 6 episodes of the season will then see a release in the spring of 2013, leading everyone directly into the shows 50th anniversary year.

Matt Smith has confirmed he is to stay with the show until at least 2013.

Just watched the last episode... it linked some parts of the last two half series that we were confused over together quite nicely. The twist at the end is very clever... and The Question is indeed hidden in plain sight.
