Just don't make Gun Towers into vehicles as was done in Bz. ;)
That was always a big pain in the butt. Flipping over, losing targeting thanks to SPs on the bounding box...lame.

What a structure. So securely attached to the ground like a weather balloon.

The really funny thing is that the 1.5 thing never fixed that glaring issue. Which is totally pathetic.

The vocal majority Did not want it to be so.

I found a set of alpha and omega variables that made it a rock of a building, but potentially UEd a lot.

More like from one came kool aide. (and if you don't drink up, enjoy the ban)
This is a bug exploit, anyone exploiting bugs is no better than a hacker that is not interested in a fair game.

There are settings in the odf that work to make it like a building or allow it to sway only to ground level and not flip under terrain. (without a UE)

Reason why I said "possibly" since it was tested using a custom tower. 50/75 made it rock solid.

At a certain amount the tower model will go crazy, flipping out on it's own, near the edge of the fov.

I was checking out one of the latest videos, which features the animation of the Turret.

Looks good in general. In a functional design aspect my critique would be two or three points. The first is subjective. It appears from the scale of the cabin, there is very little space for the pilot.

My main point would be the legs. I assume the turret can fire a full 360 degrees? However the leg design is asymmetric. If the turret has only 45 degree left, and 45 degree right yaw rotation, then the 'rear' legs appear to be functional in respect to directing a healthy portion of the moment of inertia downward into the ground, being that the 'rear' legs are at 45 degrees to the vertical. . .well conceived.

But if the turret can fire "backwards" (180 degrees to what is shown in the video), the front legs appear weak and awkward in that respect. And I suspect it will look peculiar in the game doing so. The front legs tucking up and inward into the central rocket exhaust also seems a bit odd since I assumed the front legs to be forward thrust cones.

Now. . .before someone says, "It's a game for goodness sake!", please understand I DO recognize that.

seeing that it takes a full 40 seconds to deploy, i would call that the "Loose Scrap" turret.

Is it just me or are narrations mostly just descriptions of what is about to happen in the video.

I just got word that all the scrap dropped from this turret will be effectively cursed.

I'm kid'n.

Actually, I agree with you. The organisation is all weird. I've been asked to fill out a timetable for meetings and write some stuff, but nobody's told me what they actually want me to do yet.
