If you are playing anything in Windows Media Player, your music will out-right pause until you manually resume the music. I noticed the things going quieter too.

Okee dokee. :) I just feel that there's more of a demand for FE than Uler. And I haven't had many troubles with Uler.

Another bug: When I joined one of Axe's games, it kept saying that "Axeminister has entered the world." And it kept doing the whole lagging thing as if he really was.

EDIT: It happened again on a different server. Then this dude named X joined the server and all he-- broke loose and lag started and we had to quit.

Ya, I hosted two games. Both deteriorated to many gamestates and unplayable games, had to quit both. It was Windy, Raider and Baconboy for a long time. Something happened after a while and Raider left first then X joined and boy did it mess up. I couldn't control my ship, I just turned it off.

There was a lot of lag. The AV happened shortly after I sniped a sabre.

A few bugs with 1.3PB6.3 I notice:

Gun spire's arc hits it own model (see youtube video posted in this thread).

battlezone.log is not created for me. After several crashes, I cannot locate the battlezone.log the error refers to. My 'clean' install location is: c:\games\battlezone II (non standard location).

MP runs fine until joiners/quit, seems to lag out the server with resynchs, even after they leave. Eventually it becomes unplayable. Others are experiencing this as well.

I'd post the battlezone.log but it doesn't get created for me. :(

Let me know what I can do to help.

I wonder if the reason that ships and buildings never shot themselves was not that their weapons did not collide with their collision mesh but that the weapons originated inside of the collision area.

A dude called "fas" glitched up our server the same way, when I was playing with Juggernaut. I think X and fas the same person.

OK .. a few more things to report.

I was able to host a few strats today with 8+ players.

(1) We have a hacker known as fas aka daz, x and many other nics, IP: (74.5.101.0).
Traced to Palestine Texas. Over the past few days he has joined, repeatedly trolled and lagged our 6.3 servers (for myself and others). One game he joined as a scion scout in an ISDF vs ISDF game then it lagged out after baaad. He's using hacks, his constant changing of nic, lag issues appear shortly after he joins (although his ping is always low) and behavior make him suspect. I banned his IP in game and the problems with future games (lag) went away. People were most able to join/quit/rejoin fine.

(2) 10 player games seem fine, scoreboard only shows 6 though.

(3) People who do not have a clean install of BZ2 with 6.3, and/or had mods installed have intermittent issues. They get bad assets on join, or sometimes mid game. Appears to only happen for those who upgraded from their prior 6.2 installs. My clean install seems fine.

(4) Gun spire issue (arc gets blocked by it's model).

1. Good to know, I'm curious if its our usual griefer maybe that I keep hearing about.

3. I have a couple mods installed on mine and a friend and myself had no problems. Grant it, it was a private game, so not much else I can say. Though I was using some of the client-based mods that don't cause bad assets within UEP since the main mod itself doesn't work in PB 6.3. (no real surprise there)

4. Yep, my video proves that and ZA went into further detail about it.
If you happen to be looking through my posts, I have completely dumped all things related to Battlezone. Do not contact me, do not bother me. Been harassed enough as it is and am done entirely.
