Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Part 2
I saw this again, and I must say, it lost a good amount of steam. Part 1 and Part 2 combined make a great animated movie that is tied with ones like Red Hood and Phantasm, but it doesn't really top them.

Barefoot Gen (1983)
This film had me invested. Was a depressing journey with the remnants of the Japanese family in the Hiroshima nuking. You've probably seen that scene on YouTube. I couldn't hope for any of the characters, because after the bomb was dropped, I knew that the characters on screen were already walking dead and were going to die anyway. Suppose I didn't give it much of a chance, but, I liked it nonetheless. Recommend if you like historical stuff.
Little Children (2006)
I drove in and was greeted with a very enjoyable film with characters and situations I could sympathize with and understand. Much worth the time of viewing, highly recommended for those whom enjoy drama films. I was expecting something incredibly disturbing from this film, but, I'm relieved that my fears were subsided gently. Not a light hearted movie, but certainly more uplifting than most of the stuff I've watched on my own accord...
August Underground's Mordum
My reaction to this film was one of chuckling, some smiling, and lots of time when bored stiff. This movie might be illegal in the UK for the bathtub scene, now that's what I call EDGY.
Infanticide, vomit, necrophilia... I couldn't care less about this stuff, but the only thing that got to me was the hammer to teeth scene, but they fumbled that up, so it was a short lived reaction.

Just watched The Dark Knight Rises - pretty good flick.
I laughed at the nerfed line "where'e that DWP guy". as they were going down into the sewer. Me thinks that should have been DPW - Department of Public Works

^One of my favorite films of last year. Glad you liked it.

Harry Potter:
I've always been a bit biased towards the Potter movies.
Now that I've seen the last 4 Potter movies I do have to say they are very good and entertaining movies.

Yakuza Warrior - Meh, a fun little Japanese Crime Action film about.... I dunno. Was interesting though. Quirky.
Tampon Tango - Japanese Porno about... god damn, I don't even know! Fun though! If you like weird chaos with no rhyme or reason behind it. Hilarious film, I highly recommend this if you want something totally crazy to just sit back and laugh at... It's barely erotic.

Neither can I, which probably contributed to me not seeking them out and watching them.Roscoe wrote:I can never tell the movies apart.
still also not really convinced the first movies are worth it, the actors were near baby's in those

Rise of the Guardians (2012) - Seen this a couple days ago with my family. To be honest, it took me a good while to remember this movie as I had completely forgotten what it was right after seeing it. It's another kids movie. Nothing special. Some of the effects are a little creepy but that's about it. One big cliche.
The Hobbit - Seen this right after Rise of the Guardians. Beautiful scenery, nice characters and such. Was quite worth it. Also had a charming sense of humor too. I await the next installments to the series. I seen it in 2D. You've probably seen it already, but if you haven't, I recommend it.
My Little Princess (2011) - A lost-childhood movie that I wet into knowing quite well of the director's issues and more notorious films. The whole thing feels like an arrant rant. It's actually a bit annoying. Not watching it ever again. Don't recommend.

Trance is well worth watching. It gets hard to tell what's hallucinated and what's real, but it's a very good film.

Re: What is the last movie you've seen?
Great movie, it actually got me frustrated at the end as I really wanted to continue watching the story unfold. Just to have it said, its full name is actually; 'The Hobbit; an unexpected journey'Zenophas wrote:The Hobbit - Seen this right after Rise of the Guardians. Re: What is the last movie you've seen?
RIP Roger Ebert
Re: What is the last movie you've seen?
Watched 'The Passion of the Christ' (2004) yesterday.
Not sure what to say about it. If you want to be shocked you're probably better of watching a good horrormovie or such.
If you're a diehard religious person, you're probably better of reading the bible, old and new testaments.
Overal a very good movie though, but only if you have a somewhat strong stomach. Not sure if I saw the original/US version as it was in the original languages (hebrew and italian), but it absolutelly didnt bug me and actualy fits the movie quite well.
