In that mission, you're better off just rushing the enemy base as quickly as possible.

Easy, the key to that mission is neutering the AI in your opening move, at which point Fury's are a non-issue.

ProTip: There's nothing New about those furies, other then their model.

They're the same as they always were game wise. So, they're not any easier or harder to kill.

The new fury saucers do fall out of the sky much faster.

In the original game, they would slowly come down giving you time to blast them with rockets before they were in weapons range.

Now they just fall straight down and start firing before you can get a lock on them.

It does make it quite a bit harder, especially when there are a few of them.

Ok, I think that Redoux must keep the BZ1 soul and awesome graphic will turn Redoux into an another game. The BZ1 fascination is in its ideal balance, so it is a great thing.

The question is: If I turn the cockpit off with Shift-F2 then it comes back again after I press Esc and Esc. I can turn the HUD off completely in graphic options but it is not what I want. Is it the desired behavior?

Questions regarding the Redux are probably best directed to its Steam forums. Info on its (estimated) install base, players online, etc are at this Steamspy link.
