Well, it is the single worst analogy I have seen in some 20 years. And the year of my life left out of those years was before my understanding of analogies. I mean, that was the single worst comparison I have EVER heard that was not meant to be a comic portrayal of fallacy by the opposing side of an issue.
What is shocking is that you thought it was a good idea to EVER write something like that.
Its not shocking, what is shocking is some people apparent inability to see both sided of a story, the whole point of 9/11 was to bring death and destruction to America, so that Americans can know how it feels too, so that maybe you might stop giving f11's and tanks to people whom you know perfectly well are going to use them on civilian targets.
One of the things I always remember about that day is the crowd of Palestinian's cheering "It was us"
Propaganda has been heavily used to obscure the real long term issues that are still being ignored.

I saw a Bin Ladin video where he was saying that he wanted us to panic and bankrupt ourselves, which is pretty much what we've done. Spent trillions of borrowed money, made long term, expensive commitments, given up a few freedoms, subjected ourselves to being searched and irradiated, and made millions of new enemies.
Not bad for a skinny guy with a stinky beard. We could kill him 10,000 times and we still would be nowhere near even.

Lets not try to make some sort of grand message in something that isn't there. The point was to kill a bunch of people and do damage to a country that has freedom of religion and does not force everyone into Islam. The fact we were most dangerous to them is why we were first.
Not really. They want you to follow their path within the Islam.
I know quite a few people that follow the teachings of Mohammed that do not aprove of the direction Bin Laden and followers are/were heading.
Sort of similair as you have Calvin, Luther, etc. within the christian faith.
Well at one point many people applied those words to Luther. Nt the exact ones, but same principle.
Personally, I feel that the Middle East is getting to the point where it is either do or die. There is going to be some form of large conflict to resolve these problems. As I and a freind were discussing today, sometimes things get to the point where it can't be helped, and you ned to start over.
