True. But there is no way around it. C'est la vie.

Re: The ISDF-Army: Skins
It would probably render with a fair variation over different video cards too, blending would be better done on the main texture. The main reason I Ughed at the skins is the absence of most of the original detail, blending em with the c0 grey textures would return allot of detail to the structures.

The ones that didn't die.
Re: The ISDF-Army: Skins
We tried a heap of different variations during FE, it was tricky to alter the orange without making them look muddy and dull. Light Desert camo with the orange go-faster stripes works best for me - you really need a lot of contrast between the gunmetal greys and the coloured areas.
Re: The ISDF-Army: Skins
I thought FE's blue-grey worked quite nicely, and the more recent ideas of different colours indicating different squads works quite well. Especially with glowskins.
Re: The ISDF-Army: Skins
As I said in another topic, I think the orange was, story line wise, because they were a police force more than an army, having no known enemies and dealing with primary internal conflict before Braddock made the Scions.
The real reason is because the white and blue skins they were working on for the UNesc tanks sucked. Well, rather, they were nice but invisible. For reasons similar to what Slaor Mentioned.
