Too much too soon and then nothing til the end. That's no way to run a tv series.

Re: Doctor Who
Not a fan of Steven Moffat as the main writer.
RTD was good at making fillers just as enjoyable as the opener. ( and sometimes the finale )

Re: Doctor Who
Most definitely agree with you there.
Moffat was writing episodes during Davies' tenure, but at the moment I can't recall which.

Re: Doctor Who
Moff was amazing in Russ's time.
But now, he just doesn't do well...

Re: Doctor Who
Moffat wrote some of the best. Unfortunately, now he's the head writer, he writes less of the episodes and more of the over-series story.

Re: Doctor Who
Heh yes the Daleks, both ridiculous and terrifying, have been on my list since the early 80s.
I see they included the Vorlons in their list as well. I was always fond of the design of that "encounter suit."
Summer project for next year: build a TARDIS for my back yard.

Re: Doctor Who
Daleks won't be appearing in this series...
It isn't Dr. Who without Daleks.
Plus, the new Daleks look stupid. OOOH colors! "They're colorful and more menacing..." - Moffat
Now the Daleks look like child's play toys. Plastic. Not strong, metal armor.
Moffat's crazy...

Re: Doctor Who
The point is, the Daleks can look however they want. They're not afraid of the viewers not liking their colour schemes, or Moffat trying to change them. They can just exterminate them.
In all seriousness, some of the older Daleks looked just as silly. And to be fair, the old black daleks looked a little plastic-y anyway.

Even in black and white they looked cheap!VSMIT wrote: You've never seen the old Daleks, have you?
The toilet plunger/egg beater weaponry is still pretty hilarious.

Re: Doctor Who
Yea, I thought the Dalek design was extremely low budget even for the 1960's, let alone now.

Its good to know I am following a grand old tradition...cant figure out how to make them wobble properly though
Re: Doctor Who
So much for The Rebel Flesh being a filler episode. That's going to make a mess of their wiki.
