That is pretty much what I liked about this community. How we once all worked as a team. Early 1.2 games werent about skill, they were about fun, competitive fun perhaps, but fun nevertheless. FE is an other great example of how this community could get together and create something that in ways even left the original miles behind it. It was even part of the reason for me to register on BZU, much later on though.
I can still remember the fun we had toying in ST, FE-MPI and G66.
Had a blast helping some modders testing their G66-style mods, which didnt always went very well, but didnt take away from the laughs we had.
When I started playing this game it was more or less the time my life was taking a bit more shape, and I think thats part of why the game has had such an impact on me (at least how I remember and cherish the game).
This puppy is one that I will take with me into the grave, just incase there is an afterlife and they have PCs there

If you are working on mods, ambitious mods, don't work alone.
Err, right. Whilst my Mod is really more a personal hobby than a plan with a delivery date, I have always been open to offers of assistance, such things are quite rare though. If anyone good with sound can produce passable Dalek voices then I am definitely interested. (Any language will do, Euro accents preferred, Seething hatred essential)

Doesn't have to be good quality, its bz2 ship to ship communications, bit of crackle and static adds to the realism.
Audacity does have a ring modulator plugin (the required effect), I don't really know how good it is though. Most of what makes a Dalek voice sound right comes from the persons ability to rant like a demented hate filled Nazi.
There may be a problem actually recording this with your average pc mic though. They are not really designed to be shouted at.

There are plans, Axe. Great and ambitious plans. They're not quite ready for the community yet... and I also suspect the community is not quite ready for them.

It would be beyond poor

If I somewhere in the near future get some better mic (which I very much doubt), possibly after I purchased a new system (likelly not before next year), I'll try to remember to get back to you
Sounding like a crazy old demented nazi (on Valium) should be doable at that point

Currently I'm using clips of dalek voices from the shows, sort of works, sometimes irrelevant, sometimes funny, and clearly bodged. It may stay like this.
