You'll need the DirectX SDK, I think it's part of that.

How many? it shows 53 16bit resolutions.

I'm not listing each individual resolution it lists.....

yes, depending on which board you are looking at, directX behaves differently when reporting the capabilities of your pc

The mode list holds 50 entries so D3D returning 53 modes would cause the problem you're seeing. I should increase the count to 64. (I don't envy you cycling through resolutions in Graphic Options...)

I recommend increasing to 128.

64 isn't too high a stretch, and given expanding graphics cards of the future, 128 seems safer.
