Adding a face like that is only going to succeed in looking very, very strange, as high-res textures on extremely low-poly models tend to. In the image above, for example, the pilot's face looks like it's been painted onto the visor rather than sitting below it. (Of course, there's also the issue that the helmet texture is a completely different colour, but that's always going to be the case with the source you're using)

Update on this, (sorry for double post). I never got around to finishing the texture to a good standard, now that Battlezone 98 Redux is coming out, its most likely obsolete anyway, providing they improve infantry/pilot textures.

I am still creating a bz2 (artistically reworked) high res texture addon for bz2, however my right arm is a mess, so progress is on hold for the moment. Any quality contributions would be welcomed. Vehicles and pilot skins would be great. :)
