Those people have been told time and time again, who removed flying. Heck, if they can read, which apparently is too difficult for them, they have easy access to the documents, written in a third grade level, stating who removed it.

It's funny how they associate anyone playing 1.3 as anti-flying. I have requested its reinstatement, as an option several times. Unfortunately they pull **** like the Hitler video which undermines anything I have tried.

If I had my way, Sly and a few select others would be banned from 1.3 by default. I will probably release an anti-griefer patch, unofficially, doing just that for those who were victims to their stunts.

In the words of Cloaket: "Thing is, AHadley has already left BZ2. All he does is post on the **** forums. We don't care.". Sad but true.

Never really had anything against you AHadley, enjoyed seeing you in an actual game literally once (or was it twice?) in the 10 years I've played this game. Hell, it's better than never seeing VSMIT. But if you want to go then it's your choice.

Its actually a good idea to use different nicks for in game and in forums. Its also a good idea to just scan new topics, decide they are uninteresting and not look at them again. All this daft bitchin is really quite dull and pointless.

Thanks for the Dl Ahadley, maybe your efforts will not be wasted.

But actually, I will. Please don't go. Cut back on your projects, on something. Make it manageable. That's what I do.

This is a sad day. Of course, it is is Ahadely's choice, and I respect that. I do not respect the epic amounts of trolling and nonsense that led up to this. To those that brought this upon us, I hope your happy.

At least by my clock. I guess few people in north america or maybe europe considered an AF joke would be posted from an Aus timezone.

Simple one, but turned out to be a very good one

I'm afraid this was never an April Fools' Day joke.

The combined efforts of a number of significant community members (GSH, NK1, VSMIT and Squirrel) have pulled me to my senses and I have come back before this place eats itself alive.








Who am I kidding?

Few things first.


1) This needed a fair bit of help to pull off, and no good deed goes unpunished.

Thanks to NK1 for sticking to the joke (despite falling for it hook, line and sinker even after I had PM'ed him to let him in on it).

Congratulations to GBD for blowing his top at VSMIT by mistake and then keeping the secret after I consoled him.

Congratulations indeed to Squirrel for going all cryptographer on me and figuring out on his own that the zip file was in fact ASCII encoded. Also thanks to him for encouraging counter-trolling.

And of course, thanks to GSH for seeing the joke and being glad for the info it gave him. I've made a mess of your forum and frankly, I deserve to be banned

Finally, thanks to MrTwoSheds for sowing confusion amongst the ranks on the 1.3 private board.


2) Thanks for the pleasantries (especially ZA, less so Zax). The best wishes I have recieved haven't fallen on deaf ears, and if anything they've convinced me to never do this for real

3) Apologies for the post being made at 11pm on the 31st, but I feared that everybody would twig instantly had I waited half an hour and posted on April 1st. It also confused GBD and NK1 a little, so sorry guys

4) Cheers, Baxter. Also, I couldn't have chosen anybody better to break the news on BZ2Maps. They're going to be pissed in the morning.

5) As GBD has already alluded to, those of you who downloaded my broken zip, open it with notepad and you will find congratulations for figuring the puzzle out by yourselves (which it seems only Squirrel deserves, the sly bastard) and a reality check, followed by 32MB of Lorem Ipsum spam.

6) It's been almost a day without posting (though yes, Clavin, I did keep an eye on the thread for the first half-hour or so (accompanied by a flood of PMs and MSN messages)) and already I'm clapped out trying to chase down what I've missed.

7) Be glad I'm not in the position to pull what CmptrWz pulled on all yo' asses last year. I'd bloody well have done it. Also, GBD: I've just trumped your BZC prank.

8) I need to cut this post short before I ramble any more.

Large parts of the viewing audience, it was still afternoon of march. Maybe that's why GBD did his epic fail post, in which I completely agree. Huge epic fail

In fact it was still 30 min till April 1st in AH's timezone when he posted.

None of you would have fallen for it if I'd pulled it at midnight.
