I think blood and gore is(or should be) more like frosting: it's looks good, tastes sweet, etc, but who wants to eat a cake w/o the actual cake? Unless it's earthquake cake, you can't do w/o the frosting.

Back on topic I reckon Resident evil 4 is the best in the series I hated resident evil 5 dearly but more scary games are my cup of tea.

I think RE 5 is ok but I hated the controversy surrounding the race and the setting. They are zombies, it doesn't matter if they are Afican.
