I like mortar bikes. the AI bikes are Quite resistant to AI maulers.

I don't know about BZ2. But I'll take on anyone in BZE DM with a Jackal if they stay stock. . .since the mortar bike is pretty much stuck being stock itself.

I love Jackals. Most funs ship for me to use in the game.

Are they the fastest unit in stock?
Because I remember that I outran a pack of Maulers and other units once.

Don't know about BZ2, but in BZE the Horus and Jackal are the fastest.

For those unaware, the Horus is the Uler Mortarbike, which IIRC has gun hardpoints oddly enough.

I'm sort of sure (ahem) that it isnt the fastest, but it sure it the most nible of all ships, at least it was in 1.2.

It is the most nimble for sure.
The only ships that I can imagine that can challenge it in speed are Maulers (at full speed) and maybe bombers.

In BZE1.2 the Jackal and Horus were hyper fast, maybe 10% faster than the second tier ships in regard to speed like the BZE Rocket tank or Sabre. And possibly 35-40% faster than some of the average speed ships like the Xares or Red Devil.

In BZE1.3RC4, the Horus and Jackal have been neutered a tad, may only 25% faster than the average speed ships.
