Depends on where you live. I live in a rural area and get my Wifi through a wireless provider (Yourlink) that uses a technology called WiMAX to give me a 2MBit downstream link to a tower located some 30 miles away. It sure blows away 3G and the latency isnt bad like it would be from Satellite internet but I pay 100 'canadian tire' dollars a month, and the service can drop the link a few times a day. I would rather pay 60 dollars for a 10MBit wireless link in the city, but what can you do huh?

Broadband is not limited to large city's at least not in Canada. If you live out of town you might have trouble getting it but other then that in every little town you definitely can get it. Where I used to live, the population was a little above 10,000 and we had fiber optics, 25-50 Mb/s down :D (twas a dream).
