Re: Forgotten Enemies for PB6
No, as the post says. I've not had the time to get in game properly. But is it not logical to assume that, if apserv appears in the ODF, apserv will be built, as opposed to epserv?
Re: Forgotten Enemies for PB6
From apserv.odf :
[GameObjectClass]
geometryName = "hadpod02.xsi"
AHadley indirectly lead me to this conclusion. If no recycler built it, it had to be the pod itself.
Oh well. The Hadean ships I always have to snipe are more compatible with hadean pods anyway.

Well, that explains it then. You're building an EDF service pod disguised as a Hadean oneZax wrote:From apserv.odf :

Glad that's sorted. And I'll go bug TJ about his sparkers.
Re: Forgotten Enemies for PB6
The xares with Hadean EC1 and shell are missing a cockpit.
Tritons can be sniped, krulls cannot.

In mentioning the Triton, have their missiles always been so drop dead weak?Red Devil wrote:well i'lll be jiggered...

Re: Forgotten Enemies for PB6
btw, don't try to snipe a Krul - you'll just make it angry
Re: Forgotten Enemies for PB6
Krul was stupid but I might attribute this to the engine again. I used pulse to distract it (was on foot) and it was just turning and shooting at me. I was in between it and my constructor and it kept firing as if nothing was in its way. Killed my stupid constructorRed Devil wrote:btw, don't try to snipe a Krul - you'll just make it angry
I think I have to restart this mission because my 3 save files for it aren't doing anything for me.

extended the range of the Cerberi Regenerator so you don't have to go into it and then get popped up.

Re: Forgotten Enemies for PB6
Yeah, uh, the second Miasma mission is WAAAAY too &%$#! hard. Even with cheats on. There's so many enemies in there I lost all but the recycler, and I even barely made it with the recycler having just a sliver of health!
That, and when Schultz is being pulled by the tractor beam the camera does not pull out. I got out of it by saving the game and reloading from right then and there so I could pilot my vehicle and defend my base. Spacebar/fire/enter/whatever buttons you push does not get you out of that cutscene.
Many cameras seem to be broken like this for cutscenes.
Hell I wound up having to pull out a few cheat ships of my own just to get past a few of the bloody bits. I had forgotten what it took to bomb the bridge, and about three dominators had already rolled over the bridge during my second attempt and just tore my team to shreds.
Wound up giving my recycler a million HP with 500 regen because that map is impossible for the likes of me. I switched difficulty to easy first before any of that though... Holy ^%$#!.
Edit: Cutscene number two, the one with the Hadean builder on the same map who can rebuild bridges is also stuck.
Edit 2: ERROR: ODF ".odf" does not exist when you reach the hadean builder. Also had to save/reload out of that cutscene.

Re: Forgotten Enemies for PB6
As part of the testing procedure, do not use cheat ships. They give an unrealistic example of balance. If any point in a mission becomes too hard as judged by multiple people (without cheats) then it may be broken.Major Cooke wrote:Yeah, uh, the second Miasma mission is WAAAAY too &^%$#@! hard. Thank you for mentioning camera issues, I'm not alone
Edit: Also, FE is known for being exceptionally difficult. If it seems too excruciating then it might be necessary to backtrack save files or restart the mission and try something different.
As far as saves I haven't noticed an issue aside from the usual save name bug.

Re: Forgotten Enemies for PB6
I couldn't beat the level normally, so I had to cheat. And, on the front page, it says that the game will not be balanced because red devil used cheat ships. So I kinda have to when I run into cluster%$#@! I cannot beat. You're not changing my mind about it either.
The original FE I had a far easier time beating. It's this one level that's just %$#@! nuts, and it's not that ludicrously sloshed with Cerberi on the second Miasma mission.

Re: Forgotten Enemies for PB6
Cheating past the point of breakdown will make it less likely that the bug gets reported and fixed. He already tested it with cheat ships, not worth doing it again.Major Cooke wrote:I couldn't beat the level normally, so I had to cheat.
