Sounds nice, but I wouldn't want to be involved in modeling all of that.
I made that statement assuming he goes the free to play route. If a game is free to play, the developers still have expenses to pay, for example servers, development cost, etc.

I think I could make it work, actually. I'm not going to go overboard on graphics, so I could get something pretty good looking to run on an iPad 2.

nope, haven't seen them. not sure how it would run on a pad. i think they have an accelerometer

iPad 2 is quite a capable little gaming device. This runs at 30fps.

Yeah Ipads can run some pretty decent games and even run the unreal 3 engine used for Duke nukem 3d Reloaded or BZ3 both fan made projects coming soon.
