Good lord, GSH. That last sentence sounds just like my VB instructor. Why is it that ALL programmers have such deadpan, soulless senses of humor? Then again, humor does not compute in the world of string-variables and voids.
Code: Select all
{ void Humor int; cout << "Overlord resolution failed because no soulless dictator expects this number of humorless arguments. }
Nothing personal GSH!

I would characterize GSH-household humor more as "dry", possibly "bone dry" than "soulless" although possibly a little misanthropic--or maybe we just like misanthropic characters like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory & Bernard from Black Books. GSH likes Faulty from Faulty Towers, but I can hardly stand him.

Unrelated to post but OWWWW I keep biting my cheek, I think my face is broken.
Anyway, it is the way programmers are wired. They are not mutually exclusive components, as in a bright, peppy, unjaded programmer may not exist. If they do, they will eventually get shipped to EA and "purged."

For most programmers, Idiocracy was a documentary, not a prophecy. Tends to make one a bit... prickly, when you have to dwell among the normies.
