It's blindingly obvious about how uninformed you are when all you do is make assumptions based on what you read on message boards.

Now thats a nice statement. Since I know how IPs work (not even mentioning they get printed out ..). But eventhough I said -ingame- .. yeah, I've got it from a message forum .. Now who is is the uninformed one here who just makes assumptions?

You are wrong. Not even sorry. Watch the video, then tell me if a game today could ship like that and get away with it. If you say yes, then you are still wrong.

The video doesn't show much, to be honest. It seemed like the person recording was either trying to exaggerate the (wrong) effects of the bug or could not focus their ship on what should have been focused on. The bug is much worse than what is being shown. It is certainly a problem. Not sure what Cyber is talking about there...

While everyone is bitching I suppose I had better apologise for not finding this bug while testing multiplayer on my own...
Most of the people commenting in this thread are the ones who could have helped find it before 6.2 shipped, if they had actually engaged in any regular MP testing.

I must point out that by definition an exploit is a bug that gives an advantage to one party and a disadvantage to another. Even if both sides can do said exploit it is still something triggered in the attempt to gain and advantage. That does not mean that exploits cannot be accidentally used, since the name means it can be used to gain an advantage, not that it is.
Bugs however include everything that is wrong, even if it hurts everyone or hurts no one.

flying is broken bink is not if some one still wants to complain about flying heres what you need to do
1.make you own RV
2. tap a magent mine to the REC with a objdrag = -1.5
3. test
4. have fun.
5. post a link some where for others like you.
6. never need to post asking for some one to fix it ever agen

Do you mean flying is broken because it doesn't work anymore in the latest releases, or do you mean it *was* broken before the latest releases?

Are you joking, or blind? The test showed someone blinking into my face. The Fulmen Method (described earlier) has him doing that, repeatedly as part of his weapon cycle, compounded by collision warp (thankfully that is confirmed fixed).
I thought the video would be perfect evidence and it was for the testing team. If you get blinked at, the omegakick will give you a fun little direction, but the prediction code takes place before that can be relayed. As soon as the actual results come in, which almost always differed from the prediction, your position and vector are reset in the next world swap. That's what you saw in the video. If you think there was lag or poor video quality, note the histogram scrolling in the background. That is what it is for. Find a program convenient to you and scroll through it frame by frame if you would like. You can find the exact moment in game time where the prediction and the actual result are compared and synced, and then reference the histogram to see that the world swap was at that exact time.
I don't know how it could be exaggerated or downplayed in any form. You are blinked at, that happens. Always.

edit: Caught me after a bad day at work
When you say it is worse than shown, it usually is because that guy is driving into you headfirst and blink spamming, in conjunction with arc and stuff, which gives its own kick. The video was exclusively for testing purposes: show the bug happening, period. Having all the other factors like driving headfirst and using arc introduces multiple variables, which is catastrophic to testing a single bug.

Yes, the bug that was shown in the video demonstrates warp caused by being blinked into. However it does not demonstrate the more severe form of the blink bug, which Commando, MTS, GSH, and most vet strat players are already aware of. This topic is kind of a beating of a dead horse.
