What sorts of changes might be made to blink to make it unique for this race?

Completely silent, and no jostling. Making it useful for sneaking up on anybody who doesn't check their radar.

Ooh, I see. And a pretty ivy pattern for the cursor thingy!

How's this for a texture concept?

Very basic. When it comes to UV the first thing I want to see is a checkerboard, then you can get to the actual texture. If there is distortion it can be harder to come up with an actual cohesive texture.

				All right. Here you go.

The UV is a basic top and bottom type thing.

You might find you want to adjust the UV on the wings a bit to make the squares more square like than rectangles.
You might also find you might want to use the same parts of the texture over again on similar parts.

Yep. The goal of checkerboarding is to make sure the checkers are perfectly square over all parts of the model. When done, the texture will slip on like a glove.

				How's this for the factory?

Although this would work, I do believe I want a more ethereal feel, and not as planty.

I actually like the first one more. It has more color and texture. Perhaps try to get the texture from the 2nd one added to the first one, making some areas paler.

				Something like this?

Actually, now that I look at it, that's a bit too pale. I'll fix it.
