Indeed. I gave an extreme example, but there are many others where you and the local DA would have to dance.

i'm using an analogy. the same principles apply whether it's your house or your country. it's just a matter of scale.

It seems to me there is something inherently wrong with the concept of free trade and movement in goods, resources or food but not people.
Not that I would want open immigration, or indeed, to be told that I cannot leave.

Iow you and me can pretty much travel the world without much trouble, just because our society 'owns' land/resources they just happen to 'stumble upon', where at the same time you'd rather not like the other guy to be able to
And probably for similair reasons I do have to regretfully agree with you..
