No just confirmation that IQ tests are still failing to do what they claim to do.

Always have. I do wonder what they really tell you.

If the tests functioned even nearly correctly, the overall average for men and women would be constantly level, that they are not, shows that the tests do not give an accurate measure. :)

They provide a general idea of a person's intelligence. For example, you're not going to find someone running a large corporation with an I.Q. of 90. And someone with an I.Q. of 140 will be able to read and comprehend a Tubemap.

But you are right, I.Q. tests are less of a prognosticator of success when it comes to refining who will do well when the I.Q. range is fairly tight and all are in the same discipline of a highly specific area of study. I'm sure Steve Jobs had people around him who scored higher on a standard I.Q. test.

I've always been a believer that most everyone, even those of quite low I.Q., can find something technical they can excel at if they search long enough and have a passion and can appear to be much more intelligent than a test would suggest.

I would consider them to be about as useful as a method of counting trees in a forest, based on counting the number of dead leaves in a nearby garden in autumn. While that would give you some indication that there is a forest there at all, the number of other factors in play ignored by it can overwhelm the results to such a degree that they are essentially worthless.
Too many variables, too small a sample from a hugely complex spectrum of potentials.

I think thats the most important bit, you can even drop the technical part.
It also works the other way around, somebody with a high IQ does not always have to show this, and can fail at pretty much everything he/she does. A high IQ does not mean you are good at anything.

Next to that, we all get a lower IQ every year we exist ;)
(Personally am about to go into the negative numbers :D)

They're probably getting paid to advertise the film.

Just science denial in a very slightly more paranoid form than we see it here, can't be climate change, can't be God (cos he's on their side of course) So it must be their enemies...Just as irrational and totally self serving as the rubbish we get served up here. What's really sad is that we all know, that they know they are talking bollocks too...Welcome to the un-enlightenment, where appearing to be ignorant, is preferable to being seen trying to face up to reality.

I honestly forgot that anon even existed anymore. Attacking support sites is a big no-no.
