Trebuchet...

So I was wasting some time playing angry birds on my dad's I pad...Then I figured you could actually do something that silly in bz2. I have not figured out the model design yet, but I figure something like a recy size baseplate sunk in to the ground in the middle with a flat top pyramid platform in the center. A gun tower, with no ai, its turret axis at the middle of the platform, but its gun and eyepoint set back so it can be dropped below the platform. A mag cannon firing ever stronger harmless magnet shells.
One thug operates it to fire his team mates ships across the map at the enemy base... :D What? I though everyone liked flying!

That sounds really cool actually; especially if it could give an accurate trajectory. That would add a whole new level to rushing.

I actually like this idea, almost sounds like a BZ1 armory.

Actaully, what if this building could also produce weapons/ammo?..........

The sling in FE, Rd actually saved it in the new FE patch somewhere because I made a crazy idea like this at some point. Can you imagine looking at up while in your base and seeing a Mauler (or a Gorgon) flying over to your Rec, land and start spitting!! lol
The idea of slinging pilots from armory has been an idea I've put forth many, many times.

As a gun tower it would be able to use 5 weapon slots, 1 for the mag slinger, the other 4 could be used to deploy free pods or weapon crates.

when i first started modding back in 2003, i modified the armory to sling soldiers and daywreckers and anything else i thought to try. i called the soldier paratroopers. could also sling a gameobject that spawned a flaremine that spit out soldiers/whatever.

This idea is primarily intended to sling players or any other tuggable type object that can be got into the device.
I just posted it here In the hope that someone else might find the time to make it :)

it's adjustable

hmmm, just remembered that FE has one in the SP mission into the fire, where dummy shultz gets captured

edit: does it via script commands

That's a launch pad, I am specifically talking about a device that requires 1 player to fire another player. (or any other tuggable object)

The sonic wave repels, why not make it a sniper rifle that, when hits a pilot, bounces them back however far you set it.
