when i first heard of this game (now games), i thought it sounded pretty boring.

got a samsung tablet yesterday and installed it for free to check it out.

brought a mug of microbrew upstairs around 7..8 and commenced to play the game.

went to bed at 2 am.

got up this morning *and found that same full untouched mug* on the table next to the couch...

If you're addicted to Angry Birds, you might also look at the two "Crush the Castle" games.

I will try that next weak.
I have a idea of how to get it to work.

Already figured out how to, just haven't made it. Need a custom gun tower model, with a raised platform in the middle and a sunken area around it, an offset turret with gun mounted back from the platform, a Mag-magnet gun to fire at whatever is placed on the platform. So shots can be aimed up at the object at varying different powers. The collision mesh of the platform may be a problem, probably be able to find a way round that though.

my idea was for a weapon that could be deployed by a ship becouse I have tryed building based unit movers but they all end with the unit trying to return to where it was lunched form and messing up the system.
I think I am going to spawn a magnet mine about 10m in frount of the unit and about 30 up with a 1 sec life. I think it will be grate for firing scavengers at well dame near every thing.

My idea was primarily for one player to fire another player. Yes I can see that the AI would be too dim to cope with it and I don't think it would really work for non hovering/flying units anyway as they do odd things if you try to make them fly. Should work ok for really dumb hovering objects, like ctf goal type objects or powerups.

I think this may all go back to WORMS for the addiction to parabolic trajectory.

There were even older games of this type, I can't recall its name now but I do remember playing one with little tanks back in the days when 8 colours was new and hi-tech :)

Or even back to the late 70's with Lunar Lander.

Still like that game :)
Probably mostly cause of the nostalgic feeling I get from it.
