Vista. I hate it so much.

My damn computer is giving me problems again. I'm trying to move some of my Battlezone II files and delete some old ones, but every time I try it says "You need permission to do this." So I click the button "Continue" (because I AM on the Administrator account) but it says I can't and gives me an option to "Try Again." No mater how many damn times I click this stupid button, it doesn't work. What's the deal? My computer conspiring against me or something?

Hell, even
this if you have the money / even respect Microsoft enough after having to deal with Vista to legitimately buy the user rights to Win7 (I say buy the rights as it allows you to download the installer with the option of a hard copy when buying online).

That sucks. I dread having to upgrade to Vista or 7. XP, still seems to work well with BZII.

Windows 7 beats almost any operating system I have ever used, and certainly beats any previous Windows OS.

Yes, Win7 64bit is better than XP Pro when it came out.
I have had zero complaints with Win7.
My experience with Windows is win 3.1 was "cool".
Windows 95 was better.
Win98se was troublesome but games generally ran well with it. ME was basically Bill Gates red-headed step child with a birth defect.
Win2000 was my intro to NTFS and all it could offer.
Vista is something I wanted to forget two weeks into the experience.

I really never saw anything bad with Vista. When I bought a Dell Inspiron 1525, it ran brilliantly! I'd often dis everyone who said otherwise. To me, Vista ran better then any other OS I'd had.

I also had no problems with Vista, but that is because I went in and stripped everything that could cause problems. UAC, Windows Firewall, Windows Media Player, Microsoft Office and IE all caused pain and suffering. And of course Vista is only responsible for the first 5 of my problems because the damn thing would crash and burn when doing simple tasks, like recognizing that I now have new hardware or that I need to save a 5 page essay. I'm pretty sure the same problems exist in Windows 7 but Vista is STILL lesser to it for 2 other reasons: It can't handle power outages properly and it doesn't like being upgraded (Yep, it even kept crashing every time I ran the Windows 7 install disc).
Basically, my problems were mostly a Microsoft problem, but at least Windows 7 hasn't appeared to fail at life as much when it comes to running programs in general. I.E. no Blue screen of death when I run games besides Fallout when I forget to turn off Anti-Aliasing.

The only weird thing I have still to get used to with W7 is that after a year I can't get used to putting USP port connectors in the same port. You put one in a different port than last time and all of nothing is recognized, or it wants to reload software that already exists. lol, In XP you could just plug it in a different one any time you wanted. I'm sure there's something I'm missing about this but for the most part I love W7, it plays all the games I couldn't before.

Vista worked well for me. I got it right before 7 came out, so it was relatively late in the cycle.
W7 rocks, almost as hard as Ubuntu Linux.
