Just to note.

There are some antivirus programs that will prevent the games list from showing up. The following two are known to cause problems.

Avira
AVG

Thank you Commando for the great tip regarding the antivirus programs. I've had a lot of heartache with BZ2 until I read your note. I could see games again, once I disabled my AVG for 10 mins. TYTYTY :))) Happy Days!!

maybe there is a way to add an exception to AVG, etc., so it doesn't block BZ2?

Better yet, just use MS Security Essentials (it's free)

I will take a look at the MS Security Essentials. Thanks for the info! The http://battlezone.wikia.com/ looks cool as well. Didn't know about it. Cheers Matthew[gbr]

It's free for a reason :P
I've been using it for a while, seems to to the job ok... its certainly no worse than the other "free" options, its not in MS interests to have us all coughing viri all round the net just because were not really interested in paying baksheesh to keep our pc's running. MS have a real motivation to provide a quality "free" product that the others do not, its their product that its protecting.
Its the best "free" virus checker Iv'e used so far. Indeed from the lazy users perspective its better than some of the paid for products, in that it does not insist on making me notice that it doing its job.
It seems to be a win win situation for MS and users and a lose lose situation for those who seek to profit by constantly breaking and fixing our computers for us.

Unless your PC dies so you buy a new one with Windows 8, store embedded and all, windfall for MS.

Exactly. Viruses and malware on your system? Throw that old hunk of junk in the garbage and upgrade to Windows 8 today! And while you're at it, get a surface pro tablet and a Windows phone. Mac? Linux? Don't even bother with those things because we all know they don't support our proprietary, entrenched software formats.

After all we know that you don't pay PC technicians reasonable rates because of the education they paid for, years of accumulated experience and insight, or the amount of time they have to spend fixing a computer, but because they're out to scam you out of your hard earned money.

And don't listen to those basement dwellers who call you a tool. They don't know what they're talking about!

Hmmm, still using xp and a computer of that generation, I have never paid anyone to fix my pc's, got tired of the IT "arms race". Really can't be bothered any more, got better things to do with my life than being perpetually resold every little step forward in technology and then watching it become obsolete within the year, I just don't care if my pc is actually part of a spybot ring for North (or south) Korea! as long as it still works ok...still holding out for the quantum computer and passive neural interface's :)
OFF TOPIC!

Quantum computers are a pretty major hurdle right now, since there's no way of knowing exactly where the electron actually *is* (quantum tunnelling) and no two electrons can ever have the same quantum state (exclusion principle).

You don't need to know the states, simply demolish all universes that after 2n turns are not correct (in the case of a not in-place sorting algorithm).
