Which one does more for you, Football (American) or Swimming?
I personally vote Swimming because you use your entire body, and training doesn't involve standing around

I vote for a 3rd option:
Staying home and eating cheetos

While I do not play it, American football builds your endurance, strength, and stamina more than swimming.
Though I do enjoy sitting and easting cheetos.

yes that is true, however swimming improves them also. and in football you spend half your game deciding on what play to make

Still doesn't use as many muscle groups.
Besides, if it weren't for swimming, I wouldn't have a job!

I highly doubt that. I think the only thing it checks more are your shock absorbers.
