I think Nielk1 is talking about the .msh files from BZ2's singleplayer demo that launched a bit before release.

The gun spire was the only one that was significantly different, so it'd be nice to see that one. The rest only had minor changes, as I recall.

When I get home from work I am going to get back to making my MSH2XSI program handle them. So far I've noted that while the blocks are the same the mesh data is ordered entirely differently, with colors coming after verts and verts, normals, and uvs all in separate arrays instead of in the structure array of the 'modern' files.
And now that I've said that, only Ken, GSH, and OM could know what I am talking about >_>
That demo has a lot of weird things, like Atmosphere files instead of Sky files.

Posted an image of the demo gunspire. Note the arms might be a bit wide, but even when I adjust them to be straight up and down before opening it feels a bit wider than the normal one (though I don't know if it actually is).

Looks like something went wrong in the entrance.

I've just checked and this is a perfect conversion. The arms really are that wide and there are two entrances with the lung in between (and no terminal on the inside). The lung also uses different textures, those should be in the pack somewhere as well.

It looks like the normals are out, like somethings facing in a direction that it isn't.

We've just confirmed that the image above is the start position, before the deploy animation. The bones converted correctly, but the arms start out already and thus deploy even further.
