What would you guys consider the best remedy to get rid of a sore throat? I just tried eating pasta with lemon juice, cayenne pepper with garlic powder about 30 min after swallowing mouthwash. I do feel a a bit numb and dizzy but other then that im ok .

You could try a tea made with cloves to numb your throat. A shot of Bourbon will do the trick too.

Menthol is fantastic.

My dad used to make this stuff with warm vinegar and molasses.

I hate drinking but ginger ale or bourbon is always an exception if i really need it.

Dont have any of that and have been gargling all day so far like two whole glasses of salt water this sucks.

I just say it because it's a "humorous" way to say, (Sarcasm) "Hmm, never would have guessed that."

I don't mean to use it that much, but it's become a habit after hanging around so many trolls.

If it's swelling thats bothering you then an NSAID like Ibuprofen (Advil) or ASA (Aspirin) will reduce the swelling as well as provide pain relief. You shouldnt need the extra strength ones, the normal tablets will do, unless your throat really hurts.

Yeah when I woke up this morning i had to take an extra strength 600mg ibuprofen. Trying to save those and just take 500's but dont want to risk liver damage. I have been doing once every few hrs with a teaspoon of lemonjuice and gargle it with 2 tablesoons of salt in warm water. It makes a huge difference from regular salt/water.

Eat raw garlic! it has powerful antibacterial properties,it also gets rid of vampires and friends, don't eat too much at once, its powerful stuff.
