Download and put it over the old patch13.pak
Really NOT the way to do it! Unless you really want to break lots of peoples bz2 installs.

You only need to override the files in the patch13.pak not replace them.
so you make a MYmod.pak containing your aip files.
A new Mymod.cfg file just like the bzone.cfg but also containing the line
AddPack("@rootdir\Mymod.pak");
above the lines
AddDirRecurse("@rootdir\addon");
AddPack("@rootdir\patch13.pak");
AddPack("@rootdir\data.pak");

All files with the same names as those in the other .pak will then be overridden, by yours.

Then make a shortcut with bzone.exe -config mymod.cfg to run it.

Replacing the patch13.pak Is a very bad idea.

Replacing any .pak file tends to be a bad idea.

A few loose files can sit in the addon folder (or addon\aips) , especially if they do not clash (i.e. have the same name) as any other files in addon and/or any .pak files. Use that to quickly iterate on changes and distribute to others.
