Hi folks, recently I've been playing 1.2 again and finally decided to get some of my old map projects back into run-able condition and have them actually look like i originally wanted. I've had some offers of help in the past, but one of them people will only work on 1.3 related things (and then asks for my help for something 1.3 related when never helping me before that) and the other is never around anymore hence i could say they both let me down.

I just want to get them done, but as for now, only for the 1.2 patch. Ive tryed working with certain programs, but my hands are not steady enough now because i have arthritis, and i never did understand the basics of xsi anyway.

My projects/ideas range from a simple looking circle basketball and walls to absolutely ridiculous things and buildings. Some of my projects/maps are 6 years and older.

I do require a few things though.
A instant messenger program, preferably windows live, but i will download the others if needed. This would be to co-ord ideas
Able to be online at 10am -10pm (gmt -600) (us central timezone i'm from, any time within that area is fine)
Someone that wont badger me to play 1.3 OR Strat games (im a dm person through and through, thats my bz life!)(and i still have resentment towards 1.3 due to past events with certain people)

You will be very, very hard pressed finding anyone to mod for 1.2 here.

I know that, I was going to ask the bzu community for help once, but that was right when everything 1.2 related was banned from being posted, so i didn't bother and asked bz2maps instead, which basically went nowhere. I figured now would be as good of a time as any as different attitudes towards the game and players. This is sorta nostalgic for me wanting to get all my projects done in the patch they were intended for.

models actually havn't changed very much. an XSI in 1.3 should work fine in 1.2, and vis versa.

I think he was referring more to this community not wanting to bother with 1.2 anymore then if people could do it or not.

Maybe to inspire some people, these are not complete mods these are only for certain death match maps, most of which do not have normal game play... I'm quite sure hoverball isn't something you would normally see... oh yea and they do not relate to strat either, in fact i only have 1 strat map out of 20, and all i really need to mess with on that is getting the "pound any and all straight hover attempts to bases into the damn lava" building up and running

Its basically maps with different ways to play bz2, mini games, fun ideas and things that might force some 1.2 st'ers some annoyances heh

Really you've requested the two hardest things to get someone to do for you, model and texture.

These are next to C++ programming probably the hardest, longest and most stressful parts of modding the game. I can model pretty well now, but texturing not so much. Only a few people on the boards are really any good at it... and most are tied up in thier own projects.

I know how hard it is, I've tried it once and didn't understand it, I'm going to go play with my ball for awhile.. (this is just a example of one thing i want a real xsi for... what im using now isn't something i can easily put a texture on)

The reason 1.2 has so few modders is that, compared to 1.3, it is so much more complex to mod. And lately, certain people associated with 1.2 have been trying all they can to drive the current generation of modders away.

Guys, simple XSI requests will be easy to fulfill. It is not like he is requesting the TashMahal, which is what modelers are normally working on.

If no one else steps up I can help. We should at least be able to get the easy parts done. But I have some others things to set into motion first of course.
