Need For Speed: The Run (PS3)

Post by RubiconAlpha »

If anyone here made the same mistake I did and bought this game, I feel your pain. The single player is fun at times, if a bit short, but the multiplayer is badly broken.

Game companies should not charge $60 for us to beta test their games. With nearly every game putting more focus on multiplayer, it is unbelievable that a game under the "EA" banner in this day and age could be this bad.

See videos to see just how bad multiplayer games are.

How can you race if there is no track to race on?

This bug happens about every other race and it makes it impossible to get any of the multiplayer awards and enhancements.

Getting this game out before the holidays seemed more important the finishing the game.

Shame on you EA, shame on you!

everything's a beta

when i first saw the commercial/trailer for it, i eagerly awaited the reports of all the idiots trying to race over independence pass... then failing miserably as they slid off the cliffs and realized - in the few long seconds they still had left before they perished in a twisted and unrecognizable burning heap of metal, plastic, and rubber - how vain and stupid they were to try it.

That is a sad but true statement. Being more of a game console player than a PC player I miss the days when a game shipped "finished" since what you bought on a disk was all you would get before DLC and weekly patches.

Now console games like "NFS: The Run" shipped broken and unfinished and finds itself being returned and in used bins at your local GameStop before the game fixes are available.

Bad reviews and word of mouth after its release will kill sales. Too bad I preordered it before I saw how broken it was.

I agree, trying to race over Independence Pass was the hardest part of the game.

Everyone votes against racing those sections during online play. Rather race in the big cities or open plains.
