How about breaking norms by having no credit card debt? Unfortunately, that's rare. But helpful.
Guilty yer honor... :) Never even had a credit card, never needed a credit card...Spending money you ain't got always struck me as a really dumb idea. And I only ever did that the once, getting a mortgage.

I'm the same with Banks. Over here we have building society's, they specialise in mortgage lending and savings, my wages get paid in there, and then (depending on the interest rate) they pay ME interest! on the money they have borrowed from me.
That's how it should be. I don't have a bank account, I don't need a bank account, Banks charge you for the trouble of borrowing your money from you, why would anyone do that? Sometimes I feel like I'm an Alien on some strange parallel planet where everyone does things the wrong way round, and think its normal to do it like that.

I don't have a credit card yet. My family has the philosophy though that a credit card simply makes a purchase easier, it does not mean you should not pay it off quickly.

I seen some attractive young offers at the middle school playground during the night, when I was stalking some folks from the woods where they couldn't see me.

That's when I put on my clown mask and howl like a wolf under the Baltimore moon. Off they run, scamper scamper.

If you want to make money and spend money, first you got to know how to not spend it.
Get a job, first month is tricky with no money, make the second and 3rd months tricky too, eat light, learn how to cook, make your own fun, stalking people in the woods in a clown mask  3 months later you won't need a credit card cos you'll have a few k's lying about in the account. Debit cards are just as easy and they don't cost extra .

I've been getting the "free interest for a year" credit cards, maxing them, then paying them off and canceling them at month 11. It doesn't make me much money, but it does make me cackle with glee.

And there we have it, part of the reason I don't go into the woods unarmed. There's loonies out there.

Which reminds me, I once went out into the woods with some friends. We looked like we were ready to fend off a Russian invasion but a relative still felt it was wise to warn us about the crazy rednecks in the woods with guns.

That if a Balkan woman would like to make her lover, or her husband, love her. She would take a small fish and insert it into her vagina and leave it there over the nite. After the fish has died, she will then wake up in the morning, take it out, make a pouder out of it, and mix it with the coffee. Then, she'd give the coffee to her husband, or lover, in the morning. It is believed that if he drinks this coffee, he will never leave her.

You would need to be either very dedicated or just very scared to drink that. :D

I suspect most people would notice powdered fish in their coffee.
