Re: Interesting article thread
I did, but this is a matter that had been brewing for a while and is mentioned earlier in this thread.
Meanwhile, why do we care?:

It's not an April fools article, we don't have an aircraft carrier anymore, or build harriers either and that's why we've been upsetting people by driving a nuclear submarine around the south Atlantic...You did notice the date this was submitted . . . ?

I usually very much like what she makes, yet I never bought anything from her. Soooo many artists that can use the money much better. (Now I will refrain from starting any discussion about what Madonna does with her money, at least says she is trying ....)Iron_Maiden wrote:And yet I still won't buy it:

Re: Interesting article thread
Presumably you already have some sort of system for identifying voters or your elections would be a farce.
Whatever system you use it is important that it is not connected to the tax system or be perverted into a data mining operation.
Political parties should not be able to find out who you voted for. The potential for corrupting democracy is huge if too much data can be linked together.
If they want to enter this data into the voting machines, then I would suggest that you already have a big problem happening.
Your id and how/if you voted must not end up as a data set.

Some day they'll come for you, in black helicopters full of black voters wearing unregistered black jackboots. They'll stomp you into a pink paste, then fill out your absentee ballot and vote for that black president.
The future looks black.

Re: Interesting article thread
That's not a problem as long as they (politicals) cannot find out who they actually vote for. It is the organised denial of votes or the persecution of voters that you all need to fear. Unless it is democracy itself that you find threatening.the dems/socialists/"progressives" bus bunches of unregistered black voters to polling stations with the promise of free meals and/or money

in all fairness, Romney and his ilk do the same thing with their voters, too, so, i reckon it all balances out in the end.Red Devil wrote:pfffft, the dems/socialists/"progressives" bus bunches of unregistered black voters to polling stations with the promise of free meals and/or money, which is just one of the reasons why i live high in the mountains and prep for "doomsday". place has gone to hell in a basket around here...

Re: Interesting article thread
You are all to blame!
You have all continued to fall for the "binary dictatorship" model of democracy. By just alternating between the two "establishment" Party's you have simply institutionalised a schizophrenic form of government.
Political "Loyalty" is the chain that is enslaving your nation. Those foaming at the mouth about Obama, will inevitably vote republican and then willingly fail to see that absolutely nothing really changes.
The law changes republicans are now screaming about, are pretty much the same as the ones the republicans would have enacted anyway, had they not lost the election.
The truth of the matter, is that you are all being made to dance to a tune like puppets by an unaccountable assortment of "interested" forces, who have no democratic mandate at all. The more you loyally sing along with "The Media's" agenda, the weaker your democracy becomes.
