Considered the scariest game ever Amnesia the dark descent was only a twenty dollar buy and take a look at the trailer. (as well as the reviews which clearly state it is a incredibly scary experiance.)

Looked like a scary over reliance on horror sfx and outdated game engine technology to me. :)

This is how a 'scary game' is supposed to work. Not giant zombies with triangles on their heads.

That's because they are very cheap unskilled labour and their Union is notoriously weak at negotiations... :) They are much easier to work with than vampires, werewolves, trolls or witches. Don't get involved in negotiations with witches ever! Trolls are really hard work and the insurance for vampires and werewolves is prohibitive these days.

Much easier to work with is right.
Studios nowadays can't make anything original.
Half of the movies coming out now are just remakes of older movies/tv shows!
It's like studios can't come up with original ideas!
The only studio that I can't find remakes of is Warner Bros.
Just one of the reasons why Warner Bros. is my fav studio.

Pyramid Head was scary for a different reason, though.
