I don't think a Brit would pronounce "Lassie" "Laussie". I would know. I'm from North Carolina, where everybody talks like hillbillies.

As Laussie I mean pronounced Lossie.
And it was a guy who's username everywhere is DrMcBobFaceManThingDude who said that.

He's wrong. We British pronounce Lassie as Lassie and Aussie as Aussie.
