Battlezone II v1.3.6.2 Public Beta released

Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to announce that the Battlezone 2 patch version 1.3.6.2 Public Beta has been released. You can download it from http://matesfamily.org/bz2 .

Major features of v1.3.6.2 Public Beta:
- Reduced warp/lag for MP
- Tweaked network code for better performance with lots of players in game.
- Various other fixes and optimizations.

So will I be able to run FE with this patch?

Also, thanks for putting it out, I know the baggage with 6.1 was hell, but hopefully this will get everything straightened out.

"run" being held to open interpretation that is. Don't try single player :)

Played this with Windy, MrTwosheds and Dragon earlier and had a good game. Some hesitations, but no lag or warp.

Tested it together with MrTwosheds, Darkwarrior and some Auzzie.
The wonder is, that not the auzzie with the ping 404 lagged out, no. It was MrTwosheds :D.
But until now I had no real lag-problems, and there was no warp all over the game. So I think the laggout from MrTwosheds just happened randomly (I blame it on windows update or something ;) ).
Now I am just waiting for my first 5vs5 on 6.2, then I hopefully will be able to say "Best patch ever! No lag, no warp, all the game!" :)

I am liking this patch so far. Played a few games and it was definitely feeling smoother and less choppier. Great work GSH and the testing team.

Played a 6 player strat, it was the 3rd game without a restart. Two players got kicked out on entry, A fixme was reported, the found 6 players only expecting 4 type. Logging was not on, so I don't have the chatlog, only the battlezone log.

Players need to upgrade their rigs and connection or something, because we are NOT able to reproduce these in our sterile testing environments!!!

We are unable to get 6 testers in one game, let alone 3 games with allot of different players.
This has nothing to do with their rigs or connections, if it looks like a bug and it smells like a bug, its a BUG.
Its not a lagout, its a logic error of some sort.
It seems to be a quite rare occurrence.

Must be, or else instances don't behave the same way as remote clients...which I didn't think they did anyway.
