Well season finale......

Faults I realized were tactical blunders in approaching the structure, the constant shouting which gave away positions, how for some reason Nick could walk on walls, and how Ben seemed fine amidst the radio damage after a moment of listening to it. Also noted once again predictable scenes, some poor acting on Hal's youngest son's part, the near impossible shot with the RPG, at least for me, and poor writing when it came to Nick's escape and after being ditched by the harnessed kid.

I do like above all other things the harness', I find them intresting a key part of why I caontinue to watch the show. However, I am infuriated I have to wait another whole year for the next 10, yes 10 episodes. Hell, in the amount of time the commercials for each episode ran, I could film my own series!

Yes, I agree with most of your points. The shot with an un-directed RPG was ludicrous. And they take the shot, "for the hell of it" Sort of like having that last firecracker.

The black kid pulling the spiderman routine was ridiculous AND they brushed it off without a second thought. Epic goofiness.

I think the first hour was just filler. More or less a public service announcement to not use drugs. No real plot advancement other than making it clear the black kid was a real problem. Which by the way, after he admits to telling the aliens "everything", Tom Mason basically takes him back to the school and lets him go and run free amongst the community. . .much like Pope.

A technical aspect that bugged me was taking the jumper cables for a ANTENNA lead and clamping them to the flag pole with a big spark. That was a major groan.

But by far, the craziest of the series, and I guess befitting the end of the season, was Tom going off with the alien because of the 'threat' the alien would call his son back to them. So. . both Weaver and Tom have a bead on one of the beings that have slaughtered hundreds of millions of people, Weaver's wife, Tom's wife, etc. They could "possibly" kill him right then and there, maybe take the ship (LOL, but hey, that would fit nicely in this wacko series) but decide to take a ride with him.

The other laugh was the alien "wanted to talk" because of their tenacity to fight?!?!? Have you seen anything in this season that blows you away as to their "awesomeness" as fighters? I certainly have not.

I stopped watching the show after my last post in this thread. I think the second episode was the last one for me.

After reading over this thread, I don't feel like I missed anything.

If you don;t have anything else better to do, I do advice it because it is enjoyable to watch. It's just there are so many technicalities that people witha little more distinquished sci-fi/real life taste have trouble with it.

That reminds me, gotta get the RedvBlue box set soon.

I suppose like 'Lost in Space' was entertaining in the 60's. Falling Skies can entertain.

At this point they can carry a lasso to catch the skitters and mount machines guns to their dirt bikes.

Nothing is going to surprise me.
