I did'nt like portal 2 I reckon it just does'nt only make sence (it never tells you weather it happens before or after the half-life 1 events) but was much too short and lacked haveing some of the features that the 1st one did.

Sorry portal fans but I reckon it was a no good game

Especilly from the high reviews despite the outdated and strange engine that the original half-life 2 uses.

Portal 2 wasn't short for me, I never got stuck for more than 10 min either. Portal 1 was short as it was sort of a demo to see if people could handle it. Portal 1 is before HL1, Portal 2 is much much much later.

If you actually look, the time Portal is set in is very clear. Portal 1 is set between HL1 and HL2 (GLaDOS makes comments on how the world outside is now a very unpleasant place). Portal 2 is set approximately 20-30 years thereafter (rough time required for that level of plant growth and decay). And Source makes more sense than most modern engines do. It's based on GoldSRC, which in turn is based on idTech, which has spawned many, many engines for many, many shooters. It's perfectly understandable for those who are willing to put the time in to think about it. Source is, in fact, pretty much on a par with engines such as Unreal and the latest idT engines.

I agree.

I have always thought Valve was crystal clear in their game premise, code tight, and maybe the best beta tested games avaliable.

Songs to Test By

I don't care if you don't own the game, go and download this now. And listen to it. But not at night.

First installment's been out for ages, I was waiting for the last one to post it :P

There are three tracks not on StTB, though; "Apple" (chaotic piano thing), Cave Johnson's intro, and the undistorted courtesy call.

Exile Vilify is separate (The National) and the investment opportunity music is Santorini (Yanni). Want You Gone (Jonothan Coulton) and Cara Mia Addio (Ellen McLain) are both there.
