This is a short bit from your forum administrator getting on his soapbox. There's a bill before the US Congress, 'SOPA' that attempts to reduce online piracy of content, but does so in a draconian fashion. I do not approve of software piracy, as it really hurts more marginal developers and game genres like BZ2's FPS+RTS. However, the proposed actions are a cure worse than the disease.

From what I understand SOPA has been shelved "indefinitely" but PIPA is still up on the block.
