So, what's the point of the MAG Arena simulation?

That, when you're heavily desensitized, it's an amazing idea to stand out of a car with the door open while traveling down a highway at 70mph yelling, "I'm openin' the wendoow!"

After coming home, I wanna be immersed in the simulation. It's like broken reality meets Simpsons.

Today was amazing.

Pretty much. In other parts of the internet, it's what we call a "fanwork". Some people stay very true while others try to put another spin on things, be it crossovers or just trying to make things look different. Just look up "Touhou Project" and you'll find millions of examples of each.

It's something you guys are going to have to get used to if BZ becomes popular again. Either that or be known as nazis that press down on stuff like free speech and become troll-bait.

No freedom of speech, which is exactly why they banned me resently, can't talk in that lobby or the people that run it try to provoke you into a argument just to ban you for no real reason.

There is no free speech here. This is a private site, only the government cannot stifle speech within its boarders (because by definition the government has domain over the whole and you do not have a choice of membership in that group). That said, we generally allow free speech with the exception of trolling or general nastiness.

The more you know.

My complaint was not about censorship. I'm more than well aware how free speech works, that's just general opinion.

My gripe I planted at the end of that sentence, trolling.

In most forums, usually what happens when people do like what Spork did and started flaming on BFT's work, usually what happens is either a warning and or lock/limited time ban. Most people don't take the bait.

However that's not quite how it works here. Not only did that flame war go on for about 3 pages, all it took was a single piece of fanart and look at the result. That's just sad, guys. And to top it off, from experience I know if you talk to the right people, they'll feed with plenty of info to amp it up to the next level. It's like trolling is actively encouraged, and here I was thinking about going to Youtube and try and get the LP community involved. It'd end up backfiring since the trolls have more incentive to hang around than legit players do.

I don't want to sound like "I art holier than thou", but seriously, this community seems to never fail in giving me reasons to hide the community and games rather than try and spread the word. And I intend this for all parties, including BZ1.net.

Best would be to return to the original topic, which was the beautiful render and ignore the people who can't take it and have to demean it.

You see, if we lock the thread, the troll wins.
If we remove their topic, we look like fascists, which we aren't.
Thus what normally happens is the post gets beat down within a page. In this case Feared_1 posted something which kept it going rather then let it die, I can only guess he is ignorant to the community relations underneath the topic.

Sadly, we can't trust people to ignore stupid posts, so they have to be dealt with in a way that precludes removing them for removing them would in itself cause a problem.

Removal of the topic this time wasn't needed because it wasn't a troll thread, the problem was it didn't feel like anything was done to stop what was going at all. It doesn't need to be all banhammers or locking non-troll threads, but atleast telling peeps to cut it out would have helped.

Anyone who'd call the bashing on BFT's work or the server snipe, which I thought was against the rules, fascism are pretty much just a troll and shouldn't be listened to.

Unfortunately, that is not how this community works.

Soo when General Black Dragon had my posts deleted on the old BZU it was fascism and when my posts was split off a thread on this forum... what's that?

Glad you cleared this up. ;)

I enjoy all BFT's art work. (still waiting for his Bz pilot though...)

What's the point of the ruleset then if you're not going to enforce them?

Thanks everyone. I have thought of a 'suit' but the problem is it would be limited. In that, unless I went with socket-based joints, or non-flexible material, I would be limited to one pose. A flexible material requires a rework of the material in all the areas effected for each pose. . with the modeling software I use, since SU doesn't have the capability to easily rework the material. There are some plug-ins that greatly help however. I do have a lot done with an AMEE (Red Planet) type robot to experiment with articulated joints and interferences, but it's not relevant to BZ, but I suppose I could use some of its components.
