Soundtracks

Post by Iron_Maiden »

I've been listening to the soundtracks for both BZ1 and BZ2 a lot recently. Both are respectable in their own right, but I find my self now being drawn to the BZ1 soundtrack more. It's darker and a little more technically interesting. Red Oddessy is interesting to, but seems to overdo the whole "grandeur" theme a bit. Which soundtrack is your favorite?

Are we including the newly-released BZ2 material, or just the stuff that came with the game?

I guess you can include the new stuff if you want to, but I mostly jsut thinking of the stock stuff.

I prefer BZ2, but only on the merit of the cinematic music. Without that, my vote would go with TRO.

I didn't count the cinematic stuff in my decision, I only counted the actual on disk tracks.

Some of the newly released bz2 audio is great, Tro had a few EPIC ost's, Bz1 had a nice atmosphere and cold-war style theme, and battlezone 2 was good because its music created any adventurous and futuristic feeling. Of all, I'd say TRO for EPICness, BZ2 for adventure, and BZ1 for action.
