Re: Map of the Internet
Good lord that was autistic.
I'm not even trying to troll, there's no way you can "Map" the internet. It's just a bunch of domain names in dots that are probably sized based on Google's traffic monitor. There's also no reference to the 'Deep Web' or any common-but-unlisted domain names.

Re: Map of the Internet
Even if it is pointless, the exercise of making a tool that creates such a map automaticly is hardly meaningless if you look at what you may be able to learn from it.Purplehaze wrote:Good lord that was autistic.

You could say its similair to a lot of BZ2 mods, pointless to the community in general, but a good learning experience for the modder him-/herself and maybe even fun for a small group of players.
Re: Map of the Internet
By definition, it is a map, it simply does not use physical location but another metric for its positioning.Purplehaze wrote:Good lord that was autistic.

Re: Map of the Internet
The Idea is interesting I think, it just needs to be properly integrated into a search engine, so that I could actually find "http://bzforum.matesfamily.org" on it for example.

If given the truth, the people can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts - and beer.
