I would like some know how on how to install the latest working stable version for Battlezone 1. Yes I said bz1, I will never return to bz2 because some people on the game and community, so, I am returning to where I first started. When things improve for bz2 I might return but only when i get a new pc and another condition is met.

With the above in question, would I need the original BZ1 disc or could i use a old downloadable version?

Always best to use the disk. You can install from disk and patch straight up to 1.5, going via 1.4 is up to you.

If you want to play with the others online your best bet is the prepatched installer on the bz1.com site. (hassle free install)

If you do choose to go down that route, follow it up with replacing your servers.dat with this one.

Which of all do I download?

Yeah the bz1.com site had a class of students and one good looking lady looking at me... is she available to go on a date with?

Well I download the .dat servers file and probably gonna dig around and try to find my bz1 disc when i can get time. If anyone can get me a link to the "hassle free install" that would be swell, alas i can no longer walk and my health has deteriorated and back on pain killers which no they are not recommended.

You'll want to grab the top three on that install page, plus the first in Common Files.

Piracy laws and site rules stop direct linking to installers.

Ok thats fine. Well i got the first 3 downloaded just incase and ill save this reply to a text document so i dont forget. Thanks.

I returned mainly to here to test this out after talking with ken on facebook..... I always strive for a challenge. Hopefully I can beat this new version with 1 scav on all difficulty levels/all missions.

As was said, that installer excludes the other servers, so be aware of that caveat. Also, no one plays BZ1.4 anymore as far as I'm aware, so it will be required to update to BZ1.5's latest version in the ocean of builds.

So far i have been playing it on very easy just to get the feel of it again and i am quite impressed with the balance since version 1.4/1.48. Its been about 2 years since ive played bz1 at the most.

1.8 is a failed mod though 1.5 is a successful patch, idk why he wnt to 1.8 cuz it is pretty much unreal.
