FireFox 4

Post by PowerB »

I recently installed FireFox 4 on my computer... bad decision. Its slow, ugly and... did I mention slow? I hate it! Its being a huge resource hog it slows everything down

Love it? Hate it? What your opinion?

I actually like it.... it's not slow for me at all, it's smooth, stream line, dark, simple, not cluttered.

Works fine for me. Far faster even than Google Chrome.

That stinks whenever that happens. I think on the average of once every two weeks I have it happen.

Make sure your plugins are up to date. Go to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ , and make sure you've got the latest versions of anything you've got installed.

For Flash, also make sure that you've got the latest versions of BOTH downloads for their software -- the ActiveX version of Flash for Internet Exploder (and derived), and the 'Netscape' plugin for Firefox/Opera/Safari/etc. (Chrome has a third version, but that's auto-updated.) To get both versions, go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ , and enter Windows as your OS, and then get the IE version. Then return to that page and get the Windows/Non-IE version. Install BOTH after downloading.
