Stealing a car is easy if you know how...Stealing the factory that makes cars is another thing altogether.

Re: De-coding BZ Source code, its possible?
Mektek lost their rights after they decided to do a Heavy Gear game(which means that solaris and Free MW4mercs are DEAD), and ultil they speak with MS about the game rights, probbaly i think that they are fighting with IGP/piranha games about the game rights since Mektek 4 was in progressJosiah wrote:afaik only mektek has access to the source atm, as granted by the microsoft legal dept...Apollo wrote:Where can we download the MW4 source, that would be interesting to browse.

The point, I feel, is that if you have the skills to do this stuff, why mess around with other peoples work? Making your own game has to be a lot more satisfying.

Too much of a learning curve to start from nothing.

If making your own games is too much effort, it's a wonder we have any.
(Also, it's rare for a game to start from nothing these days)
