Griefer List

Post by Commando »

Attached is my ban list, it is a combination of the anti griefer patch I posted about a while back and IPs collected two weeks ago.
[UserPrefs]

// Bans for specified addresses. To use these, you must fill in the
// address (replacing the "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/eee"), and uncomment it
// (remove the // from the start of it). No support is currently
// present for unbanning while BZ2 is running. Items in the following
// list may be commented out; subsequent items will be read. More IPs
// may be bannable that there are lines here; the exact number is
// undisclosed.
//
// The /eee component is a netmask of how many bits of the first part
// are checked. If it is 32 (default), the IP must match exactly. If
// it is 24, it is as if the 'ddd' component was wildcarded -- some
// would write 'aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/24' as 'aaa.bbb.ccc.*'. If it is /16,
// then it blocks aaa.bbb.* . If the netmask is 0 (not recommended),
// it'll block every IP (not recommended).

//BanIP1 = "68.3.228.114/24" // Sean/SeanTheGreat, who seems to be trying to cause lag in games
BanIP2 = "194.45.228.126/24" // Joins games pretending to be other players, while they are still in-game.
BanIP3 = "46.16.33.209/24"
BanIP4 = "69.180.10.90/24"
BanIP5 = "199.255.209.168/24"
//BanIP6 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"
//BanIP7 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"
//BanIP8 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"
//BanIP9 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"
//BanIP10 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"
//BanIP11 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"
//BanIP12 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"
//BanIP13 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"
//BanIP14 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"
//BanIP15 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"
//BanIP16 = "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd/32"

Lol looks like you got pretty much most of the US ISP comcast's ip ranges covered there Commando... :(
Can't tell how many of the others might just be proxies...

Hmm. Might actually be cleaner and more effective to use PeerBlock configured with the comcast and proxy Iblocklists as well as your banlist :!:
Shame about all those potential other BZ2 players using comcast though...Still they can always host themselves.
Oh yeah, as a bonus, Peerblock will keep you out of their host too! If you turn it on.

Yeah, i may remove the comcast entry as there has been no activity from that ip lately.

As for Proxies, GSH may have that already taken care of. He has already posted all 770 IPs to ban, if you want them banned now.

About half of them are Comcast... our griefers ISP. I would leave them there.
Apparently you need to add NetRange: 199.255.208.0 - 199.255.215.255 to it. Its a VPN service.

I have no idea how up to date peerblocks lists are kept. Or the info GSH used.
Using both while playing bz2 seems like a good idea. :)

Keep collecting the info.

From GSH's proxy list

BanIP722 = "199.255.208.0/21" // blocked proxy: <!-- AnchorFree
