Direct X Error - Fixed
I can't believe this is happening, especially as I've started to work on my mod a bit more frequently. I haven't changed anything inside my PC. The only thing that has been changed is the fact that I've recently installed some games from steam, BZ2 was working fine a few days ago and now I'm getting this stupid error:
Any chance you can help?

Re: Direct X Error
Try doing a full 1.3 install again, should bring up a directX installer which might fix your problem.

Re: Direct X Error
Open the BZ2 install dir, then the 'Redist' folder, then the 'DXWebInstaller' folder. Run that exe, let it update as desired. Then reboot.

Tried it and the installer is telling me that no installation is necessary. Error is still occurring too.

Tried the reboot?

Re: Direct X Error
Yeah man, I've tried re-patching, re-installing Direct X and still nothing. Any ideas?
Re: Direct X Error
I can't see any images you posted from work, so, shot in the dark, what does dxdiag say?

Re: Direct X Error
It's telling me I need to make sure I have Direct X installed on my PC, BZ2 was working a couple of days ago and has now stopped working for an unknown reason.

Re: Direct X Error
I'll give it a try and let you know, if not I'll try a complete re-install. I'm trying to understand why this has happened. I mean, I haven't changed anything.
Re: Direct X Error
1) Did you reboot after the DirectX reinstalls?
2) The battlezone.log file -- located in [My Docs]\My Games\Battlezone II\ on Vista/7/8, or in the same dir as the BZ2 exe in XP might have some info as to things. DXDiag can also write out a log file. Try emailing both on to me.

Re: Direct X Error
i vaguely remember something like this happening to me awhile back; is the Start in: entry in your shortcut maybe not pointing to your BZ2 install?

Re: Direct X Error
I launched the exe inside the Directory.
