Are there any console errors or messages?

okay. How did you install it?

Things should be in the following:

\Battlezone II folder \ BZCaddon \ ... *extract TRO folders here to turn on TRO, delete from here to turn off TRO*
\Battlezone II folder \ BZClassic \ .... *stuff from mod*

\Battlezone II folder \ BZC_bzone.cfg

Ah, Yea the DLL won't work on older patches the 1.3.7.1, which would be why the Recy didn't get allied with you or missions didn't run.

I should post an update soon. :P

This might be a bit silly question, but I really can't get my head around this one. By "Make a shortcut and point to BZC_bzone.cfg. 30 TPS recommended but not required. Example: /config BZC_bzone.cfg /tps 30" what shortcut do you really mean? Because if I make a shortcut in windows to that file, it would just open the configure file in notepad, which I believe is not the wanted result or what am I missing here?

Just to make clear: this is not a troll, this is a genuine question from not so experienced Bz2 mod user.

point it to bzone.exe, not the cfg file, like this:

C:\1.3.7.1-PUBLIC\bzone.exe /nointro /config whatever.cfg

eASIET WAY IS TO RIGHT CLICK ON BZONE.EXE, THEN LEFT CLICK ON 'cREATE sHORTCUT'

sorry, cappslock was on.

Yea, create shortcut, either from right clicking bzone.exe in the install, or copying an existing desktop icon.

right click that new shortcut, and select properties.

the "Target" line should look similar to this, depending on where you have BZ2 installed:

"C:\Program Files\Battlezone II\bzone.exe" /config BZC_bzone.cfg /tps 30

You can also make another shortcut to point to bz2edit.exe instead of bzone.exe to use the map editor.

Okay, that makes a lot more sense. I was wondering to what was I supposed to direct it (can I blaim lack of sleep?), since I was quite sure that the commands were just orders for launching it with correct order set. But never thought about trying the bzone.exe. So stupid of me...

Anyway, got it working now. Thank you very much!

Ideally, mod installers can (and should) do the shortcut setups for you.
