Post by SUB-0 »

I hosted many games and this question arrises often in game..... Can i be scion? Answer no its not balanced...lol well opinions differ greatly ...and the debate goes on and on .... games either fall apart befor starting ...because some wont play unless they can be scion ...others agree its not balanced ...so i leave it in the comunities hands lets see what the general comunity thinks about wheather or not ISDF vrs SCIONS is balanced or not ....So that in futur i can host a game and make it a fair one...Hope i havent opened a can of worms :P

If you think its unbalanced then create a new BALANCED RECYCLER VARIANT & post a link on the forum so everyone can try it out. If it becomes popular then congratulations, however their will be some people who will disagree on some part of it dispite how much is changed. I don't know about most of you but my time is very limited so go create your own recycler variant. Also have fun trying to please all the whinners who'd rather complain about every single detail instead of getting off their lazy butts to type out a new balanced recycler variant by using Notepad.

Its not that complicated to make the changes yourself & all the tools you need are FREE.
1.) goto http://bzscrap.org/ & get the Pak Extractor
2.) extract necessary files.
3.) Open required files in Notepad & edit.
4.) Rename all modified files to avoid bad assets.
5.) Test before release to check for mistakes & bugs.
6.) Release to public or keep for yourself to play alone.

Overall I think they are as balanced as they could be. The racial differences do not make nearly as much difference as the competence of the commander/players using them does.

A better poll would be to ask if ISDF is better, Scion is better, or they are in net over the average of games, late and early, etc, the same.

I'd say they are equal.
Each one has their strengths.
ISDF:
Has Bombers
Has APCs
Cheaper Units and Buildings
But it has to have power units,
must have Relay Bunker for guntowers,
and does not have jammer
or artillary.

Scion:
Has Jammer
Available buildings anywhere
Has Morphing
lone Guntowers.
But hasn't got Bombers or APCs

I'm glad you brought this subject up since it has never been broached before and needs to be discussed...

Thanx guys for the votes evryones opinion matters... Of cours i wont debate here as not to influence one way or an other. However i hope this can paint a general picture for future debates on this matter...and hopfully stop a referendum from being placed on table :)

whats a referedum ?

A referendum (also known as a plebiscite or a ballot question) is a direct vote in which an entire electorate is asked to either accept or reject a particular proposal. This may result in the adoption of a new constitution in battlezone, a constitutional amendment, a law, the recall of an elected official, ''race'' (ISDF,SCION) or simply a specific government, ''race'', policy. It is a form of direct democracy.

In this case ISDF vrs SCION balanced ? or not ?
just kidding :)

And again thanx guys for all the wonderfull work so many are contributing to bz comunity
